APLNB Professional Development Grants

L’Association des bibliothécaires professionnel(le)s du Nouveau-Brunswick / The Association of Professional Librarians of New Brunswick aims to assist the professional development of its members. The Executive of the Board will consider applications from current APLNB members for support in carrying out their professional development activities. A maximum of $500 will be made available each calendar year to be granted to deserving applicants, the amount to be at the discretion of the Executive. The Executive will allocate the available grant money to one or more individuals, as it deems appropriate, or may choose not to award any grant for any particular year. Decisions of the Executive are final, but unsuccessful applicants are encouraged to reapply in subsequent years. Applicants must provide a written description of the purpose to which a grant will be used as well as their curriculum vitae.

Although applications may be received anytime, applicants must not expect a decision before two months after the date of their application. If members of the Executive are seeking support, they must remove themselves from the grant deliberations.

Our first recipient was Janet Moss.

As adopted at the September 2001 AGM

Applications should be mailed to:

Association of Professional Librarians of New Brunswick
P. O. Box 423

Grant recipients must provide a written report within a year to the APLNB Executive describing how their grant was used.
