THE KEDGWICK PUBLIC LIBRARY RECEIVES RECOGNITION AWARDThe third annual APLNB Recognition Award was presented to the Kedgwick Public Library at the luncheon during the 2003 AGM and Conference in Miramichi. Mahfoud Akkouche, public services librarian at Haut Saint-Jean Library Region, accepted the award of $200 and commemorative plaque on behalf of the Kedgwick Public library staff and administration. The 2003 award recognized the exceptional performance in term of circulation per membership in a francophone area. With an average circulation per member of over 30 (Statistics 2001-2002), the Kedgwick Public Library showed the best circulation performance in New Brunswick for a public library operating in a francophone region.
